Man charged with manslaughter in Port Gibson shooting

PORT GIBSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Port Gibson police arrested a man in connection to a fatal shooting.

The shooting occurred in the 100 block of Woodstock Street around 2:00 p.m. on July 12.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Levi Mobley, Jr., 34, deceased. They said Edward Jenkins, 46, was at the scene and was taken into custody following a preliminary investigation. Jenkins has been charged with manslaughter.
