Workers’ video leads to copper wire theft arrest in Tulare County
TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was arrested after workers who were repairing a pump from a copper wire theft recorded suspicious cars in the area Thursday morning, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

Workers were at an orchard on the east side of Tulare repairing a pump from a recent copper wire theft when they noticed some “suspicious vehicles” on the property.

The workers then recorded a video of the vehicles, which deputies say was traced back to a home within the city. There, deputies say they recovered nearly 400 feet of stolen copper wire insulation, and a 45-year-old was arrested under suspicion of copper wire theft.

The identity of the suspect has not been released.
