PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Congratulations are in order for an Oregon-founded dairy brand that secured trophies at “the world’s largest and oldest dairy show of its kind.”

The Tillamook County Creamery Association earned three gold medal titles at this year’s International Cheese and Dairy Awards. The 128th annual event was held in Stafford, United Kingdom in late July, and resulted in more bragging rights for the lauded company.

Tillamook’s Very Veggie Farmstyle Cream Cheese Spread secured the award for the U.S.’s best soft or semi-soft cheese, while its Jalapeno Honey Farmstyle Cream Cheese Spread took home the award for the best U.S. cheese with additives.

Additionally, the Original Farmstyle Cream Cheese Spread was ranked as the best cheese spread of any variety. The brand took home several silver and bronze medals as well, in addition to the accolades it earned at the 2024 ceremony.

“We’re honored to be recognized for our achievements in cream cheese excellence, building on our success at last year’s ICDA awards,” TCCA Director of Product Excellence for TCCA Jill Allen said in a release. “These awards and the overwhelming consumer response to our entire lineup of cream cheese products are a reflection of our commitment to making dairy better than it has to be.”

Just last year, Tillamook was also awarded a trophy for offering the world’s Best Cheddar Cheese. The brand is now expanding with its first owned-and-operated facility outside of the state where it was founded.

The Decatur, Ill. facility is expected to produce another 15.5 million gallons of Tillamook ice cream annually. Owners hope the opening will further the brand’s reach on the East Coast.
