It happened at Alquds Jewelry located on North Cedar Avenue in Fresno, at around 5:30 p.m.
Officers say at least three armed suspects in a stolen vehicle crashed in front of the jewelry store multiple times. A person working nearby told officers the suspects were trying to rob the store.
The witness told officers that one of the suspects then opened fire, but it is unknown if anyone was struck.
Surveillance footage shared with YourCentralValley.com shows the exact moment in which the SUV backs up into the store twice – the second time, the video captures a person wearing a hoodie exiting the vehicle, going around it. Then, the person goes back inside the SUV and drives away.
According to police, there was another vehicle on scene, to which the suspects entered and fled northbound on Cedar Avenue.
This is an ongoing investigation. Officers encourage anyone with information to contact the Fresno Police Department.
