MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) – Detectives in Montgomery County are searching for a man who was captured on surveillance video robbing a liquor store with a gun.

The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said that the robbery took place at the liquor store in the 300 block of North Washington Street on July 1.

During the investigation, detectives learned that the man had entered the store and walked up to the register, where he demanded money from the cashier. He then told the employee that he had a gun and lifted his shirt, according to police.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he ran out of the store.

Montgomery County police said the thief was seen running outside and went toward the back of the liquor store, where he jumped a fence.

He man was last seen wearing a tan floppy style hat, reflective sunglasses, yellow rubber gloves, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white tennis shoes, detailed police.
