One killed, two injured in Tunica County shooting
TUNICA COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Tunica County deputies are searching for a suspect after one person was killed during a shooting and two others were airlifted to a hospital.

The shooting occurred in the 1000 block of Soleil Drive in Robinsonville around 7:00 p.m. on July 11.

When deputies arrived, they found three victims with gunshot wounds. Deputies said Nykeria Jude, 30, was pronounced deceased by the Tunica County coroner.

According to investigators, a 24-year-old man was transported to Regional One Health, and a six-year-old girl was transported to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. Both were airlifted for further medical treatment.

Deputies identified the suspect as Markello Braxton, of Robinsonville. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
