Anderson man found face down in water

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ind. — A death investigation is underway in Anderson after a man was found dead, face down in the water.

According to Anderson Police, around 2 p.m. on Friday, police responded to Shadyside Park to check on an unresponsive man in the water.

Following a search, police found 38-year-old Dustin Smith of Anderson deceased with his face in the water.

Police say no foul play is suspected, but the investigation remains ongoing.

The autopsy will determine the official cause of death, and the results will come in the coming days.
