U.S. Coast Guard rescues two from sinking boat near Bald Head Island

BALD HEAD ISLAND, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — U.S. Coast Guard Station Oak Island rescued two people after their 12-foot jon boat began taking on water near Bald Head Island.

One person was found holding onto a cooler, while the other remained aboard the boat.

Both were brought to safety, and the boat was successfully towed back to shore.
