Property tax going down for 5th year in Kentucky

KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — Property tax rates are going down in Kentucky.

On Thursday, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that for the fifth straight year, there will be a decrease in the state real property tax rate.

“Every step that keeps more dollars in our families’ pockets is important,” Beshear said on Facebook.

What are Kentucky real property taxes?

Real property taxes are annual taxes homeowners pay on the assessed value of their house.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

The 2025 rate will be 10.6 cents for every $100 of assessed home value, down around 3 cents from last year.
