AUBURN, Ala. (WRBL) – The 3-year-old boy at the center of a statewide Amber Alert has been found safe, and the man accused of killing the child’s mother and half-sister is now in custody.

Aaron Dontay Williams, 41, was arrested at approximately 7:15 a.m. Friday by the United States Marshals Service, with assistance from the FBI and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Williams was taken into custody without incident, and 3-year-old Jibreel Harun was located unharmed.

The arrest comes just one day after police in Auburn discovered the bodies of Tyeisha Williams, 34, and Zynnya Wright, 13, during a welfare check at a residence on Samantha Court. Investigators say the two were likely killed within 48 hours prior to being found.

The discovery of the double homicide triggered a statewide Amber Alert for Jibreel, the biological son of Aaron and Tyeisha Williams.

Auburn Assistant Police Chief Michael Harris had earlier described the suspect as armed and dangerous, and a $15,000 reward was offered for information leading to his arrest.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Auburn Police Department Investigations Section at 334-501-3140. I’m
