I-69 in Delaware County reopens after deadly crash

DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. – A deadly crash closed part of I-69 in Delaware County for more than two hours on Friday morning.

An alert from the Indiana Department of Transportation said all lanes of I-69 southbound were shut down after a fatal crash. A northbound lane was also closed.

It happened at mile marker 236 just north of Daleville between State Road 32 and State Road 332.

Details about the crash were sparse. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office could only confirm that it was investigating a crash involving a fatality.

The Yorktown Fire Department said I-69 southbound was closed from exit 241 to exit 234.

INDOT said all lanes reopened just before 7:40 a.m.
