Ball resident charged with $7,000 theft using fake identity

BALL, La. (WNTZ) – A Ball woman has been arrested following an investigation by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office into an identity theft case involving more than $7,000 in stolen funds.

Deputies said Adrian Carter, 38, of Ball, used another person’s identity to commit the theft. She was arrested on charges of identity theft and bank fraud.

Authorities did not release additional details about how the scheme was carried out or the identity of the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
