Three-wheeled motorcycle rider dies in Beloit intersection crash

BELOIT, Ill. (WTVO) — A man was killed in a Beloit crash Wednesday after his three-wheeled motorcycle collided with an SUV.

According to the Beloit Police Department, the unnamed victim was ejected from the bike at the intersection of Portland Avenue and Moore Street.

Police said the crash happened around 4:50 p.m.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“We send our sincerest condolences to the man’s family and loved ones as they mourn his loss,” police said in a statement.

The driver of the SUV, a woman from Beloit, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

The woman was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, causing death.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the incident.
