OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WWLP) – A Chicopee man who was fishing off the coast of Old Saybrook in Connecticut reeled up his catch with the help of a seal.
In the video above, you can see a seal in the area of the boat, and as the fisherman gets closer, it dives underwater. Well, after reeling in his catch, the seal made off with a bite of his striped bass, also known as a striper.
John is an avid fisher who broke the record in Connecticut in 2022 with the state’s Exotic Marine Species Record list. The Cobia fish he caught weighed 43 pounds and was 56″ in length.
