According to the New York State Police, they responded just after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, to State Route 58 in the town of Macomb, following a report of a gun or weapon complaint.
A subsequent revealed that Glenn Heimbach of Bloomburg, Pa. had discharged a firearm, causing a bullet to travel through the victim’s garage and exit into an area where a group of people had gathered. No injuries were reported at any point during the incident.
A further investigation revealed Heimbach was acting recklessly with his firearm, attempting to shoot at a coyote. Heimbach was taken into custody and transported to the state police station in Ogdensburg for processing.
He was later released on an appearance ticket, which requires him to return to the Town of Macomb Court at a later date in August.
