Napa police responded July 3 at 12:55 p.m. to the Napa River Bridge at Third Street near Soscol Avenue on the report of an unresponsive person. Officers found Batres deceased in the area under the bridge.
Authorities have not released the manner in which Batres was killed as of Thursday.
Police are seeking the public’s help with details of Batres’ whereabouts or who he was with between June 27 and July 3. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Isabella Romero atiromero@cityofnapa.org or 707-257-9509.
