Final decision made on downtown Conover mural causing controversy

CONOVER, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The owner of Evexia posted to social media saying that his art on the downtown Conover building can stay up.

City leaders sent out a notice last week that the mural was against their sign ordinances and color restrictions, and needed to come down or the company would be fined.

The owner says the city is now thinking of updating its code for murals and public art.
