Madsen’s manager, Ron Smith, said cardiac arrest was the apparent cause, and no foul play was suspected.

Madsen was born in Chicago in 1957 to a family of three children, including his actress sister, Virginia Madsen. Madsen also got his start at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company, alongside actors such as John Malkovich.
He’s best known for his work in “Kill Bill,” “Reservoir Dogs,” and “Donnie Brasco.”
