Sgt. Caleb Eisworth, a 23-year veteran of the police department, remains hospitalized.
As part of the recovery, doctors determined that both of Eisworth’s legs needed to be amputated. Immediately after, his vitals improved significantly. Doctors are optimistic that this was the solution to enable Eisworth’s recovery. He remains intubated at this time and is improving daily.
Eisworth’s family thanks the community for the constant support and care. They continue to ask for prayers on Eisworth’s road to recovery.
On June 16, Eisworth was on a motorcycle when he was hit by a Dodge Ram pickup truck. Detectives later arrested Gad Black, 41, and Asia Raby, 40, in connection with the crash. Black faces charges of attempted first-degree murder of a police officer, hate crimes, and resisting an officer. Raby was booked on charges of obstruction of justice and accessory after the fact to attempted first-degree murder of a police officer.
