LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A fully recovered bald eagle was released back into the wild after it was found dangling from a tree a few months ago in Loudoun County.

Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS) said the bald eagle was found dangling from a tree branch, stuck in fishing line.

Humane Law Enforcement Officers with the LCAS were able to rescue the eagle.

Because of the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center and Kristi’s Caring Hands Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education, the eagle was able to make a full recovery, and it was released back into the wild on Monday, July 7.
