Officials say 63-year-old David Winter left his home on July 1 and has been missing ever since.
On Tuesday, LCSO deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle found near Snow Peak in the Willamette National Forest.
“The reporting party stated that he had found a vehicle on a secluded logging road and believed it might be associated with a missing person case reported to the Albany Police Department,” authorities said.
Deputies were able to confirm that the car belonged to Winter. But after two days of searching, LCSO says his current location is unknown.
“This is a heavily wooded area, making search efforts difficult,” officials said.
Anyone with information about Winter is asked to contact Albany police.
