FAIRFAX COUNTY (DC News Now) — Virginia State Police (VSP) is in search of a suspect in a Fairfax County road rage shooting that happened the morning of June 11.

According to police, a brown 1999 Chevy Suburban allegedly cut off a black BMW 5-series sedan around 9:30 a.m. on I-495 near Route 236.

The drivers then pulled off onto the shoulder where I-395, I-495, and Route 644 meet, and an argument ensued that ended in the driver of the Suburban being shot.

Police say the victim drove themselves to the hospital, suffering from an arm and leg injury. The victim had two teenagers in the car at the time of the incident.

According to police, the suspect is described as a 5’5″ or 5’6″ man wearing blue or green work pants with a white shirt, who was last seen driving eastbound on I-495 at the Van Dorn Street exit. The suspect was also reported to have a young child inside his car.
