CLEVELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Two minors were killed during a crash involving a Bolivar County deputy, authorities said.

The crash occurred on Yale Street in Cleveland around 6:42 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), a 2019 Dodge Ram, driven by 29-year-old Brionna Brown, of Pace, was traveling west on the street when it collided with a 1986 Toyota truck, driven by a minor from Cleveland, that was traveling north on Crosby Road.

The driver and a passenger in the Toyota received fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. They have not been identified.

Troopers said Brown received moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The crash is under investigation by MHP.
