Senate candidates to face off at Kentucky’s 145th Fancy Farm Picnic

FANCY FARM, Ky. (FOX 56) — The 145th Fancy Farm picnic is just around the corner, and the list of speakers is growing.

It’s a longtime tradition in Kentucky politics, characterized by some good old-fashioned campaigning. Since the 1950s, the Fancy Farm picnic has marked the kickoff of Kentucky’s political season and brought out national figures from George Wallace to Al Gore.

In 2025, all eyes are on the U.S. Senate hopefuls vying for Mitch McConnell’s seat.

According to organizers, former Attorney General Daniel Cameron, Lexington businessman Nate Morris, and U.S. Rep. Andy Barr are confirmed speakers for the August event.

It’s a race that proved to be heated, but come August, the candidates will trade jabs as their opponents watch from the audience.

Democratic candidate Pamela Stevenson has not confirmed her attendance, per organizers. Neither has Gov. Andy Beshear, whose 2024 absence wasn’t ignored.
