STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A man and a woman were charged after allegedly following and throwing items at the man’s ex-girlfriend’s car on Sunday, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a call around 2:15 a.m. on July 6 after a woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had been following her for the previous 40 minutes as she was driving.

The woman claimed that as she was being followed, her ex-boyfriend drove recklessly, including using his vehicle to block hers and aggressively approaching her.

Deputies say that at the same time, the man’s current girlfriend was a passenger, throwing items at the woman’s car.

According to deputies, the ex-boyfriend was charged with stalking, reckless driving, disorderly conduct and simple assault. The passenger was charged with throwing a missile at a moving vehicle.

Both were transported to the Rappahannock Regional Jail, where they are being held without bond.
