Santa Rosa man posed as bounty hunter: sheriff's office
(KRON) — Deputies believe that a 40-year-old Santa Rosa man busted for allegedly identifying himself as a bounty hunter — complete with driving in a vehicle outfitted with red and blue emergency lights — may have acted as a fake fugitive recovery agent in multiple states, said the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.

SCSO said that Gregg Jackson was out on felony pre-trial release at the time of his arrest. During a search of his home and vehicle, authorities said “they found several items that falsely identified him as a police officer,” including riot helmets, gas masks, and handcuffs.

Jackson was booked for impersonating a peace officer and two violations of his pre-trial release conditions, said investigators. He remains in custody where his bail was set at $56,000.
