Ramp shut down after crash on US-321 near I-85, heavy traffic reported

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — An accident on US-321 North near I-85 is causing major traffic disruptions Wednesday, temporarily shutting down a ramp in Gastonia.

The rollover crash happened on the northbound side of US-321 on Exit 17B, which leads to I-85. The on-ramp is currently closed, prompting emergency crews to direct traffic and advise drivers to follow detours around the scene.

Although no injuries have been reported, the closure is impacting mid-morning traffic.

The cause of the rollover wreck remains under investigation at this time.
