Part of W&OD Trail to be closed in Dunn Loring

DUNN LORING, Va. (DC News Now) — Parts of the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail will be closed for construction, officials announced Tuesday.

The miles-long closure will take place between Gallows Road and Tree Road. The trail will be closed on weekdays until August 1.

Dominion Energy said that this closure is for a new electric transmission line.

During this time, trail users should take a 2.7-mile detour along Gallows Road.
