HAW RIVER, N.C. (WGHP) — A couple in Haw River is left picking up the pieces after their home was destroyed during Sunday’s storm.

Joe and Annette Wrenn live off Fleming Road in Haw River.

Their son-in-law, Stephen Satterfield, tells FOX8 that flooding caused the home to be lifted completely off its foundation and has left the roof on the verge of collapsing.

The Wrenns’ home has been marked as a total loss.

Stephen said they have been working with their insurance company, but the process has been frustrating.

They are also in the process of finding temporary housing for his in-laws.

A GoFundMe as well as an Amazon Wishlist have been set up to help support their recovery efforts.
