Meow, downward dog at a Metairie library

METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — In every yoga class, inhale, exhale.

The pose guaranteed to get everybody up, is downward dog, but maybe not at the yoga class WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood is taking.

It’s kitten yoga at the Jefferson Parish East Bank Regional Headquarters in Metairie.

All you need is your own mat and a love for kittens.

They come from the Jefferson SPCA and they’re all adoptable.

The next Kitten Yoga is on Thursday, July 10, at 10 a.m. and then on Thursday, July 24, at 10 a.m.

The class is free and fills up quickly with yogis and kitties.
