Lampasas Middle School band teacher arrested, accused of improper relationship with student

AUSTIN (KXAN) — After several months of investigation, a Lampasas band teacher was arrested and charged with having an improper relationship with a student, according to the Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office issued a press release about the arrest last week, stating that a warrant was issued on July 3 for Lampasas Middle School Band teacher Jeremy Flint. He was taken into custody that same day, according to the release.

According to the release, the sheriff’s office received information in January from concerned parents who thought their daughter may be involved in a relationship with Flint.

A Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office Investigator was assigned to the case and worked with the Lampasas Police Department and the Texas Attorney General’s Office on the investigation.

A warrant issued on July 3 for Jeremy Flint for Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student, which is a second-degree felony, according to the sheriff’s office.

Flint was arrested a few hours later, with assistance from the Copperas Cove Police Department, and he was booked into the Lampasas County Jail on a $750,000.00 bond, according to the release.
