Even though the busiest stretch of the season is over, staff says there’s still a steady number of customers coming through for last minute deals.
Jake’s Fireworks has been open since June, and while the final sales numbers won’t be clear until the season ends, workers say the traffic hasn’t completely died down. Across the country, other Jake’s Fireworks locations are open sporadically throughout the year, but here in Kansas, they will wrap things up on Monday.
Some shoppers are stocking up for next year and cashing in on discounts.
“Seeing some of our regular customers coming out sooner. You know, we’re not usually open on the sixth, which is today,” Building Manager Jennie Watson said. “And being able to see some more folks coming out and continuing to buy things, stock up for next year, and, you know, get some of the deals that are still going on today through tomorrow.”
Even though Kansas passed a law allowing year-round firework sales for retailers, workers here say they are not sure what that means for this location just yet.
