PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — All evacuation levels have been lifted for the Wyeth Fire in Hood River County, authorities announced on Tuesday afternoon.

  • Evacuations have been lifted for the Wyeth Fire in Hood River County.

This comes one day after Level 2 “Get Set” evacuations had been in place for the Wyeth area near milepost 51 on Interstate 84. The fire evacuations were in place for the Wyeth Campground and the east end of Herman Creek Road.

The initial report on Monday evening was that the fire had spread to 25 acres. However, the size was reported as 10 acres by Tuesday morning. Fire crews stopped the forward progression of the fire overnight, followed by mop-up efforts, USFS said.
