Uptown Columbus set to celebrate ‘Christmas in July’ during Market Days on July 12

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Uptown Columbus is celebrating a festive time of year a little early with their “Christmas in July” event. The festive celebration is intended to bring some holiday cheer to Uptown Columbus’ Market Days and business to local vendors.

The event will take place on July 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Broadway.

Uptown Columbus director of Marketing and Communications, Tracey Green, hopes families enjoy their time celebrating with one another.

“We wanted to bring a little unexpected joy to the middle of summer and give families a fun, festive experience to enjoy together,” Green said. “Christmas in July is also a great opportunity to support our local vendors and get a head start on holiday shopping, all while creating a bit of magic in Uptown Columbus.”

Santa Claus will make an appearance to take photos with kids and gather Christmas lists early. There will also be buckets of snow pouring from a snow machine for kids to enjoy.
