Researchers at HouseFresh analyzed nationwide data on the most common outdoor allergens, assigning each location a severity score from 0 (low) to 10 (severe) to determine where allergy sufferers are most affected.
Texas ranks third worst overall for outdoor allergies, with an average severity rating of 7.96 out of 10 across all three pollen types. Only Oklahoma and Arkansas scored higher.
Laredo, San Antonio and Lubbock ranked among the top five in the country.
