Police identify man killed in Brandywine crash on Fourth of July holiday

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) has released the name of the driver who died in a crash in Brandywine on the Fourth of July.

Police identified the victim as 48-year-old Gregory Wilson of Hughesville.

A preliminary investigation determined that Wilson was traveling east in the 1500 block of Brandywine Road around 7 p.m. when he swerved off the road. The car then came to a rest in a front yard.

Wilson was taken to the hospital, where he died shortly after.

Anyone with information that can help investigators is asked to call the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422.
