Person shot, critically injured on Indy’s near west side

INDIANAPOLIS — One person is in critical condition Tuesday after a reported shooting on Indy’s near west side.

Indianapolis Metro police crews were called around 1:45 p.m. to the 2400 block of W. 16th Street for a person shot.

Upon arrival, IMPD said officers found a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. That victim was reportedly taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
