The Vacaville Police Department responded to a 911 call for the attack early Sunday morning. During the investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested by 11:15 a.m.
The suspect, 38-year-old Marcos Gonzales of Vacaville, was booked into the Solano County Jail on multiple felony charges related to sexual assault and kidnapping. Police also found and seized a gun in Gonzales’ possession.
“Investigators believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the community, ” Vacaville PD said. “At this time, there is no evidence to suggest the suspect has any connection to the victim.”
