No injuries reported after shooting in parking lot of Six Flags Great America

GURNEE, Ill. (WGN) — An investigation is underway after a shooting unfolded in the parking lot of Six Flags Great America on Monday night.

According to Gurnee police, officers were first called to the scene around 8:20 p.m. following reports of shots fired in the amusement park’s parking lot.

After officers arrived on the scene, they were unable to find any victims but did locate evidence that a shooting had occurred.

A preliminary investigation indicated that an argument may have unfolded just before the gunshots were fired, though it is unclear what exactly led up to the incident.
