NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A New Orleans man has been arrested in connection with a child pornography investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday, July 8.
According to the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to the arrest of 49-year-old Jeffrey Alain Boone.
Boone is facing 19 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 and one count of obstruction of justice. He was booked into New Orleans Central Lock-up.
The arrest reportedly happened following an investigation with the LBI’s Cyber Crime Unit, the New Orleans Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations and US Marshals.
The investigation remains ongoing.
