JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police said a woman was arrested in connection to the fatal shooting on AME Logan Street, which occurred on July 4.

According to police, Aziza Young was arrested on July 7 by the Adams County Sheriffs Office.

Young will be placed into JPD custody and charged with murder and auto theft.

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a man was shot and killed on July 4.

The incident occurred on AME Logan Street around 4:15 p.m.

Jackson police said the victim was identified as Adrione Triggs, 45. They also identified the suspect as Aziza Young, 35. She was last seen leaving the scene in the victim’s vehicle, which was a white 2009 Honda Accord bearing the license plate #7W77D.
