Texas ranks among worst states for job satisfaction

DALLAS (KDAF) — In an era where job satisfaction is paramount, a recent study by health insurance comparison service iSelect has shed light on the countries and US states where employees are most content.

The study has identified the regions where employees thrive by analyzing key metrics such as job security, average working hours, values alignment, trust in employers, confidence in leadership, future skills development, local purchasing power, and wage disparity.

Looking at the US ranking, the states with the happiest employees are:

Colorado leads the states with a perfect score of 100. The state boasts a low wage disparity (86.19%) and a high average weekly income. Rhode Island secures second place with a Job Satisfaction Index score of 90.24. The state also demonstrates a low wage disparity (73.20%).

Maryland ranks third with a score of 89.81 and maintaining a good balance across various factors, including low wage disparity (79.70%) and a high average weekly income. Montana achieves a score of 89.50. The state also boasts a low wage disparity (97.39%). Completing the top 5 is Massachusetts with a score of 88.05. The state also demonstrates a low wage disparity (93.53%).
