Written from press release

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — A Bedford man was killed Saturday evening in a crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle at the intersection of West State Road 45 and Airport Road, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene around 6:08 p.m. and found the motorcyclist, identified as 24-year-old Hunter Warthan of Bedford, with fatal injuries. Authorities say Warthan had been riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it collided with a Chevrolet Cruze driven by 19-year-old Victoria Lewis of Spencer, Indiana.

The intersection was shut down for more than two hours as crash reconstructionists investigated the scene. The road was reopened around 8:30 p.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
