The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) Troop B posted on social media on June 7 that a driver was ticketed recently for driving at 107 mph on the turnpike in Shawnee County. The driver was also cited for making an unsafe lane change.
“Speeding and other unsafe driving violations are leading causes of traffic crashes, which can have devastating consequences. As responsible drivers, it is essential to make informed decisions. Slow down, drive safely, and always wear your seatbelt.”

The KHP reported the driver earned a fine of $225 for the speeding violation and a fine of $75 for the unsafe lane change. The total for the ticket is a little more than $400, including the docket fee.
