Driver clocked at 107 mph on the Kansas Turnpike, gets big ticket

SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) – A state trooper pulled over a driver on the Kansas Turnpike recently for going more than 100 mph and dished out a large fine for the violation.

The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) Troop B posted on social media on June 7 that a driver was ticketed recently for driving at 107 mph on the turnpike in Shawnee County. The driver was also cited for making an unsafe lane change.

The KHP reported the driver earned a fine of $225 for the speeding violation and a fine of $75 for the unsafe lane change. The total for the ticket is a little more than $400, including the docket fee.
