Convicted sex offender wanted for violating registration act in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police are searching for Edward Labarre, 56, a convicted sex offender who has not met his requirement to register with authorities.

Labarre was convicted of criminal sexual assault of a 6-year-old victim in 2006.

According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, Labarre is homeless.

He is a wanted fugitive on charges of violating the sex offender registration act.
