Woman injured after jet ski accident on 4th of July, officials say
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries responded to a jet ski accident on the Blind River near the Blind River Bar around 1 p.m. on Friday, July 4.
According to LDWF, three people were riding a three-person jet ski when it struck a wave. A woman sustained a serious injury and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
Deputies from the Ascension and Livingston Parish sheriff’s offices also responded to the scene.
The incident remains under investigation. More details will be released as they become available.
