
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A teenager has been charged following a shooting that happened at Truist Stadium Friday night, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
Around 10:18 p.m., following a July 4 event, officers responded to a shooting in the parking lot in which a juvenile was left with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Saturday, a 16-year-old was arrested in connection with the shooting.
They were charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury and two other charges.
They were brought before a magistrate and taken to a juvenile detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
