(KRON) – A person was fatally shot in Bay Point Saturday morning, according to the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office.
Around 1:02 a.m., Muir Station deputy sheriffs were dispatched to Harbor Drive in Bay Point for a reported shooting. Paramedics and fire crews responded to assist. However, the victim was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity will not be revealed at the time, said the sheriff’s office.
Responding officers found an injured person suffering from gunshot wounds in front of a residence.
