According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, the man was boating all day Saturday, July 5.
His boat was found at the marina near Lower Lake Clementine Boat Ramp, along with his truck and keys.
Evidence suggests that he likely drowned after entering the water.
“We recognize this is a heartbreaking outcome and extend our deepest condolences to the man’s family and friends during this difficult time,” Placer County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
