Pine Valley Recreation Area to remain closed through remainder of 2025
PINE VALLEY, Utah (ABC4) — The U.S. Forest Service announced on Friday that the entire Pine Valley Recreation Area will be closed for the remainder of the 2025 season.

The closure includes the entire area, including trails, campgrounds and guard station. These areas will remain closed to the public due to resource damage caused by the Forsyth Fire and to protect crews still working on containing the fire.

Crews are currently working to minimize fire risk in the areas around Pine Valley, including the Pine Valley Recreation Area, Oak Grove Campground and the Browse Guard Station. All exisiting reservations have been cancelled and refunded, and those with questions regarding refunds can check here.

As of Saturday, the Forsyth Fire is at 13,689 acres and is 47% contained. Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in place for all lands in Washington and Iron counties.
